It's been a Yummy Week!!!

It has most indeedly been a yummy week.......the baking bug came to visit and I have had sooo much fun. We made these delicious Doggie Malted Biscuits which are just sooo cute!! Jeromel had an absolute ball making these...the teens helped by eating the chocolate chips and milo cereal so they were banished by Jeromel. The biscuits are just absolutely delish and were almost too cute to eat.

Then the next day, Jeromel was again asking to bake, so I googled up a basic biscuit recipe which he could roll out and cut out using his playdoh cutters. I also found some cake decorations and some white and milk choc chips and he went to town decorating the biscuits. I think he did a pretty good job!!! I think his little gingerbread men shapes are just gorgeous!!!
Then I decided to make some wickedly moreish Cranberry, White chocolate and Oatmeal cookies. I found the recipe on My Little Cyberspot
and have been meaning to make them. I shopped for the ingredients over a week ago and didn't get around to making them and boy were they worth it....sooo delish!!! They are soo wicked that I am sure the addition of the 50g of oatmeal puts them in the healthy category. Thank you Ruth for sharing all your fabulous recipes!!!

LOL....was there any scrapping done this week? Well....I finished a 'handmade from scratch' mini album I started at Katie's crop last week. It is finally finished....and it is just gorgeous...I took photos of it all...uploaded it to picasa...did my cropping and then just when I was about to upload onto photobucket....it clicked to me that I can't share it....because it has the Kinder's name on it...it has photos of other kids in it. Why don't these thoughts click before I go to the trouble of taking pics and all???

In an effort to spend more time with the boys before they ALL head off to school next week....I haven't done much scrapping at all .... and it has been really nice taking a break....but .....I shall have to start scrapping because packages have arrived and there is work to be done!!!

Check this out!!!! Is it not just utterly drool worthy? When my kit arrived, I oohed and aaaheed....then began the unpacking and examination of each little bit and I caressed, and drooled and there was some happy dancing over the shimmer shapes. If you're as much in love with this fabulous kit as I am....quickly head on over to One page at a time to secure your own kit!oh oh oh oh oh.....did you notice anything different on my blog? no no no...not the baking instead of layouts.....I have a new blog header!!! Isn't it fabulous??? Made specially for me by Pauline the digi goddess. Pauline actually made me 3 fabulous blog headers...so expect a change once in a while.

I also got a new blog header for Shania's blog.......made with love by the fabulously talented Carolyn . Thanks sooo much! My sister absolutely loved it to bits!!! Hasn't Shania just grown sooo much? She is absolutely gorgeous!!!

Truly Blessed.....

It has been one awesome week for me....

Sunday - Scrapping at Katie's place....totally awesome fun and it was good getting together with the Scrap-Pile girls for much chatter, food and scrapping. Thanks Katie for being such a fabulous hostess. We had to make crowns with bells with our preferred drink on it....the idea being to jingle when we wanted a drink....it was hilarious. Jane took some pics...so will have to post one later when I get one.

Monday - A warmish day......had to go on a long drive errand to get a vanity door for my in laws....all the way from South Oakleigh to Thomastown! On the way back...we went to Tasman meats and stocked up on yummy meat...including chicken ribs.....will be making spiced chicken ribs very very soon!!!

Tuesday - Mega mega hot hot hot day....ended up being 42 degrees!!! It is Miss Michelle's birthday (as well as Abby's birthday) and I had volunteered to have a little lunch gathering at my place......luckily I have air conditioning!!! A few people couldn't make it so it was just a small lunch with Mich, Jane and Vita. I had a really good time chatting to everyone and the kids were all really well behaved and they had a great time.

Happy Happy Birthday Mich!!!

Wednesday - my Lounge lizard day....I didn't want to leave home today ....I just wanted to veg!!! Don't we all need days like that???

Thursday - Delivery day.....had to make a trinature delivery to Shirley, drop a package off for my Dad's friend to bring back to Brunei and then to drop off a big scrapping rak to Dannii. Take kids to work, run a few errands with Joseph at night....all a big blur! Oh...Jeromel just reminded me....I took him to Macca's yesterday for a late lunch.....he doesn't get to go very often...so he was very excited and I was amazed when he decided to have the Pasta Zoo Happy Meal!!! He thoroughly enjoyed his chocolate sippah milk, his pasta and most of all....he actually had half of the dipping sauce.....this is a biggie...this boy will not have tomato sauce!!! He only has tomato ketchup with one thing...chinese ham and omelette..that's it....and even this is a recent development....like 3 months ago. Oh..he says...the best bit was the bionicle toy....lol

Today - Julia & Matt came for lunch today and I made some homemade sausage rolls and pizza wheels. Jeromel and Matt had a great time playing together and Julia and I caught up on chit chat. Can't believe that these two little boys who used to play together as babies will both be starting Prep this year!So all in all...it has been a fabulous social week for me ....catching up and touching base with friends. This week...I have felt so blessed...blessed to have friends who care enough to visit my blog and leave comments ......blessed to have caught up with so many friends this week.....and for those that I haven't seen lately .......let's catch up soon!!!!

Oh, and especially blessed with warm fuzzy feelings for those girls who took the time to point me in the right direction for those Heidi Swapp kiwi flowers....Christie for telling me there were some at Paper2 and Sarah who said that she bought the last pack there but was happy to share with me. How lovely is that???? I found them on ebay and they arrived today...just too gorgeous!!! And big thank you to the lovely Jorja who sent me a beading magazine!

Next scrapping meet will be at Scrappy Hollow when the fabulous Cass and Kim come on their big scrapping adventure!!

I'm an Angel !!!

It's official....I'm an ANGEL!!! The announcement was made last night on the Scrapping Angel blog . I am so blessed to have been picked for the Design team and given the opportunity to work alongside such an awesome talented team comprising atm of Trish Reed, Tara Nelder, Carole Janson, Annie Hafermann and Sofi Petropoulos.

Do go and have a peek at the Scrapping Angels website...it is fabulous and is bound to be a huge success with the kits that have been loving put together and the opportunity to attend workshops and do online classes with the kits. I'm very excited with the opportunity and have to get cracking with putting together an awesome kit.

on another note....

I desperately want
1. Heidi Swapp blooms in Kiwi....if anyone can help....I would be sooo grateful.
2. I also want to try making a few pieces of jewelry...are there any dvds out there that can give me a crash course in doing that? Any fabulous affordable beading sites?

Happy New Year!!!

Gosh...am I slack or what???? I forgot to update my blog and wish everyone Happy New Year!!!

We had a fabulous New years eve at Tom & Nucel's place. We have spent every new years eve with each other for the past 20 years....except for one when Joseph & I were living in Brunei. Our kids are roughly the same age, so everyone has a great time. It was also great catching up with Sin, Cher and their new baby WeiEn and also Paul & Maria. After dinner, we got stuck into Poker and played till 4am....lots of laughs and lots of fun.

Ok...on the scrapping front....I have been rather slack as it has been quite busy here.....I have been scrapping though....

These are my late EDM layouts for December (Sponsor Heidi Swapp, Onsert product: Silhouette words, theme: My Life)
I am a hoarder of tins.....when ever I buy biscuits in a tin....I always have to choose a perfect tin. I use quite a lot of tins in my scrap space....I store buttons, beads, flowers, ribbon, chipboard alphas, ghost alphas etc in tins....some big, some small. Very few have been altered....tee hee. Ok...in it's previous life...this tin was a mooncake tin and I have been using it for months now to store my scrapping essentials. It's big enough for my tools, ink cubes, inkers, adhesive, pens etc. When I was culling my scraps....I was very inspired to alter my tin with the gorgeous Ki Pet Papers that came with my One Page At A Time kit.

Asides from that.....I have done 3 circle journals this month!!
And had my first layout picked up by Creating Keepsakes and another picked up by Scrapbook Creations. Pretty happy with my start to the new years.....now I better get going and make a start on my EDM layouts for January!!!
